Proven People: A Proven Resource for the Community

Proven People is a unique service that provides you with a connection to experienced, job-seeking individuals within Santa Clara County. Co-administered by NOVA and the City of Sunnyvale, Proven People is a job-matching service for workers aged 50 and older. Proven People’s mission, to provide employers with a pool of skilled, experienced workers at no cost to either the employer or candidate, is one that they have successfully accomplished for more than 25 years.

If you are an employer in search of qualified workers, you will be provided with contact information for appropriately skilled older workers. Staff will provide an initial level of screening to match your needs and create a list of referrals for your final hiring determination. Work assignments can be temporary or permanent, and in a part-time or full-time capacity.

While commercial businesses can benefit from the expertise and dependability of these older workers, Santa Clara County residents also benefit from the program’s staffing services. Proven People has helped hundreds of local residents find the assistance they need with such household chores as electrical or plumbing maintenance, gardening, housecleaning, senior care, or similar jobs. Wages are reasonable and the returns can be beneficial to all.

Older workers can offer a wide variety of training and experience to employers. Many of our applicants have college degrees or possess specific skill sets. Our candidates offer flexible availability as well—many are retired and participate to supplement their income and remain active, while others may have been affected by a recent layoff and are currently seeking either long or short-term assignments.

Proven People is located at the Sunnyvale Senior Center, 550 E.
