NOVA provides insight and guidance for area businesses by analyzing the regional trends and economic indicators affecting Silicon Valley. NOVA disseminates its findings through workforce development reports published by NOVA's Workforce Publications group. Often these reports are released at community forums that feature panel discussions of the industry(ies) studied.

This report analyzes small businesses and startups with 5-99 employees selling high-technology products or services. The labor market study's purpose was to uncover the issues and challenges affecting small businesses in Silicon Valley. The report was prepared in collaboration with the Workforce Investment Boards of Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.

This report examines Silicon Valley's other rewarding occupations and details what it takes to enter and succeed in "foundational" jobs. The study details 28 occupations in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties that offer good growth and wage potential.
