Internship Opportunities
in Local Companies

As part of the SolarTech initiative, NOVA is working with local cleantech companies to identify potential internship opportunities for students enrolled in San José City College’s or Cabrillo College’s photovoltaic installer programs. These opportunities provide state-of-the art solar installation work experience and potential future employment within the clean tech industry.

This opportunity is being made available through the Silicon Valley Solar Industry-Driven Regional Collaborative funded by the California Community College system and is in partnership with NOVA, Silicon Valley Leadership Group, San José City College, and Cabrillo College.

Benefits of Participation

  • Prepare for industry certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
  • Network within the cleantech industry on your first step toward permanent employment in this growing field.

Compensation & Time Commitment

  • Earn $13–15 per hour for the duration of the internship.
  • Time commitment is 8–10 weeks beginning in late spring 2008.

How Do I Participate?

You must have successfully completed the Photovoltaic Solar Training program at either San José City College or Cabrillo College to be considered for this work experience opportunity.
